Merle McClure - Class Of 1918

Professor Emeritus Merle M. McClure, 79, West Lafayette, died Sunday, February 10, 1980, at the Westminister Health Center where he had been a patient for several years. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, but was raised in Pyrmont and became resident of West Lafayette, in 1921. He was married to Catherine Crebs in August 1925 in Rossville and she died in January 1964. He was graduated from Delphi High School and Purdue University where he received a Masters in Engineering. He was affiliated with Purdue University until his retirement. He was a member of the Christian Church where he was a former elder, belonged to the Triangle Fraternity, the Kiwanis Club and was a 32nd degree Mason. Surviving are two sons, Malcom C. McClure of Monticello, Peter J. McClure of Charleston, Mass.; one sister, Claire Dusing of Toledo, Ohio; four grand children and two great grandchildren. Services were this afternoon at Lafayette with interment in Green Lawn Cemetery at Frankfort. Delphi Carroll County Comet February 13, 1980
