Clarence Shultheis - Class Of 1918

Clarence D. Shultheis, 88, of Pyrmont died Dec. 3, 1987, at 1:48 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.  He had been a patient two days.
  Born Sept. 30, 1899, in Carroll County, he was the son of John and Minerva Shipley Shultheis.  He was married to Elsie Weldy in 1924 and she died in 1936.  His second marriage was to Lorene Goslee in May 1938 and she died September 1982.
  Shultheis attended school in Pyrmont and graduated in 1918 from Delphi High School.  He attended Purdue University.  He retired from farming in 1971.
  He was a member of the Pyrmont United Methodist Church and Carroll County Farm Bureau.
  Survivors include three daughters, Betty Burkle and Carolyn Burkle of Rt. 1, Rossville, and Doris Stull of Wanatah; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death.
  Funeral service was held Sunday at the Pyrmont United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peggy Arter and the Rev. Ora Myers officiating.  Burial was in Pyrmont Cemetery.
