Nola Thompson (Harmon) - Class Of 1918

Mrs. Nola Fern (Thompson) Harmon, route 2, Monticello, died at 5:15 Sunday evening at Home Hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been ill for a year. Born in Delphi June 6, 1900, she was the daughter of Hiram and Ora Whistler Thompson. She was married in Brookston June 30, 1929, to Russell Harmon. They moved from West Lafayette to Lake Freeman at Roth Park in 1952. Mr. Harmon is manager of the Firestone Store at Ninth and Ferry streets in Lafayette. She was a member of the Monticello Presbyterian Church, the West Lafayette Chapter of Psi Iota Xi, Brookston Mothers’ Club and the Questers Club of Carroll County. Surviving with the husband are one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Vogt of Clinton, New York; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Drake of Seattle, Washington; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston. Rev. Wallace McDonald officiated. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Brookston.
