Services were today for Robert Gros Bradshaw, 85, a lifetime resident of Delphi, who died Sunday, Feb. 23, 1986, at 12:20 p.m. at Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been a patient there three weeks. Born May 1, 1900, in Delphi, his parents were William and Flora Gros Bradshaw. His marriage was to Mary Gustavel Oct. 4, 1927, in Delphi. Mr. Bradshaw retired over 20 years ago as Delphi High School librarian where he taught social sciences since the 1940s. Prior to that he had worked with his father at Delphi Body Works. A 1919 graduate of Delphi High School, he was graduated from Purdue University in 1923 where he received his master's degree in the 1940s. He attended First Presbyterian Church of Delphi. His memberships include Carroll County Historical Society, Indiana Library Association, IOOF Lodge, Mt. Olive Masonic Lodge, Torch Club, Oracle Club, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Indiana Historical Society, Society of Pioneers, Rotary Club of Delphi, and Purdue Alumni Association. Surviving with the wife, Mary, are three sons, Arthur C., Houston, Tex., John B., San Antonio, Tex., and Robert C., LaPorte, Penn; one brother, Charles, Delphi; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death. Funeral service was this morning at Horn Funeral Home with the Rev. James Rankin officiating. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Delphi, Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Obituary notice taken from the Carroll County Comet.
