Helen Day (Quick)

Helen Quick, 91, formerly of Rt. 4, Delphi, departed Tuesday, April 27, 1993, in her residence in her Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Born October 24, 1901, in Muncie, she was the daughter of Emmett Day and Mary Dragoo. On June 21, 1921, in Brownsville, TX, she married Paul R. Quick. He preceded in death on February 13,1965. She moved to Cedar Rapids from Delphi in 1979. She was a homemaker and did volunteer work at the Red Cross, Northbrook Baptist Church, and at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. She attended Ball State University in Muncie. She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids, and was a former member of the First Baptist Church, Delphi. Surviving are a son, Richard C. Quick of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Fem Laughlin of Edinburg, TX; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Private services were conducted graveside on Monday, May 3, 1993, at Masonic Cemetery, Delphi, followed by burial there.
