Ralph Preston

  Ralph Preston, age 73, of Rossville, passed away suddenly at St. Elizabeth Hospital Monday at 12:55 p.m.
  Born April 9, 1901, his parents were Charles and Blanche Pixler Preston.  He was married in 1921 to Violet M. Stitler, who survives.
  He moved to Rossville 18 year ago after living in Chicago and Denver, Colorado, for many years.  He retired as a chief electrician for the Pennsylvania Railroad in the Chicago area after 24 years of service.
  Mr. Preston was a member of the Logansport Methodist Church and was graduated from Delphi High School.
  Surviving with the wife is one son, Charles H. Preston, of Denver, Colorago, three daughters, Mrs. Frank Hines of Lafayette, Miss Mary Preston of Rossville, Mrs. Barbara Mitchell of Rossville.  One sister, Mrs. Fred Surface of Indianapolis also survives along with five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
  Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Chapel at Rossville with Rev. Thomas Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
