
Bitler Armstrong, 63, Rt. 1, Delphi, died unexpectedly Monday at 1:30 p.m. at his home. He was a farmer in the Yeoman community for many years and operated a loan business in South Bend for ten years.
He was born September 29, 1902, the son of T. W. and Florence Bitler Armstrong.
He was a member of the Yeoman Methodist Church, F&AM Lodge, Commanderly Chapter and the Eastern Star. He was past master of the Masonic Lodge and past commander of the Commandery.
Survivors include his widow, Ruth, a teacher in the Twin Lakes School Corporation; a son, Thomas, Rt. 1, Delphi, three daughters, Ettola Riley of Brookston; Carolyn Bunnell, Rt. 3, Lafayette; Carol, at home; three grandchildren, and a brother, Frank, Tucson, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:30 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home in Monticello. Rev. Bill Moon will officiate with burial in the Yeoman Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m., Wednesday.
Commandery will have memorial services, Wednesday evening, and Masonic will conduct graveside services.
