Glae Clawson

Glae M. Clawson, 94, formerly of Rt. 1, Delphi, died at 1:16 p.m. Nov. 1, 1996, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center.
  Born Nov. 16, 1901, in Flora, he was the son of Courtney R. and Maude Harter Clawson.  His marriage was on Dec. 1, 1927, in Carroll County, to Lela I. Nelson, who died Dec. 15, 1991.
  A retired Carroll County farmer, he moved into Delphi in 1989.  He formerly worked for the Carroll County Highway Deparment and previously drove a school bus for Delphi schools for more than 20 years.
  He was a 1918 graduate of Delphi High School.
  He was a member of Delphi United Methodist Church, a member of the former Tipwa Grange at Pittsburg and the Jefferson Conservation Club, and a former member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau.
  Mr. Clawson formerly served on the Carroll County Election Board.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
  Surviving are three sons, James R. Clawson of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Gene E. Clawson of Delphi, and Wayne L. Clawson of Ramstein, Germany; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son.
  Services were Monday at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Selvidge officiating.  Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
