Margaret Darragh

Margaret Darragh, 75, of Delphi, died Friday, April 8,1977 at the Americana Health care Center, Lafayette, where she had been a resident since October 1975. Born April 17, 1901, at Alton, Ill., she was the daughter of Charles Emmett and Louise Best Darragh. A resident of Delphi most of her life, she was a graduate of Hanover College and was a member of the Delphi First Presbyterian Church. She had been a school teacher in several Indiana towns and formerly held the post of head of the mathematics department at East Chicago Roosevelt High School. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Ruth Wagoner Darragh of Delphi; and four cousins, Elizabeth Best of Delphi, John Best of Tulsa, Okla., Frances Adams of Venice, Fla., and Eleanor Ackerman of Dayton, Ohio. A brother, Clarence A. Darragh, preceded her in death. Services were Monday at the Jackson Funeral Hone, Delphi, with the Rev. Douglas Tracy officiating. Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
