Mary Calvert, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Martin was born October 19, 1902. She passed away April 10, 1936 at the Lutheran Hospital at Ft. Wayne of pneumonia after an illness of a few days. She attended Delphi high school and was graduated with the class of 1920. She was married to Paul R. Calvert June 6, 1925. To this union was born a son who died in infancy and a daughter, Roberta Jeanne, who together with the husband and parents survive. Funeral services were held at Delphi Easter Sunday. Pall bearers were Kenneth Fortney, Curtis Heston, Carl Overly of Ft Wayne and Paul Ashba, Clarence Shultheis and Alpha Rule of Delphi. Flower bearers were Lucy Fortney, Ruth Heston and Eva Overly of Ft. Wayne, Ruth Rule, Lorene Goslee, Elsie Shultheis, Mary Smock, Margaret Smock, Dorthea Shaffer, Mary Shaffer, Jessie Ashba of Delphi and Isabelle Munger of Indianapolis. Delphi Citizen April 23, 1936
