Bertha Hornbeck (Julien) - Class Of 1911

   Services for Mrs. Bertha Hornbeck Julien, 76, of Delphi were Tuesday at Jackson Funeral Home in Delphi.  Rev. David Abel officiated and burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
    The widow of the late Floyd Julien, she was found dead at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at her home by her son, Eran, of Zionsville.  Coroner James Sullivan ruled her death was a suicide.  She had returned from Indianapolis Friday evening.
    Born March 27, 1893, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Oliver and Nellie Brookbank Hornbeck.  She spent most of her life in the Delphi community.
    Mrs. Julien was a member of Rose Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
    On April 13, 1918, she was married to Mr. Julien, who died August 16, 1969.
    Surviving with the son are a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Banker of Orinda., Calif.; four brothers, Ralph Hornbeck of Benton Harbor, Mich, Harry and George Hornbeck of Akron, Ohio, and Charles Hornbeck of Barton, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lybrook of Delphi, Mrs. Helen Baird of Frankfort, Mrs. Grace Hendryx of Logansport and Mrs. Flossie Clawson of Flora; and seven grandchildren.
