Mary Elizabeth Martin, 86, of Rt. 3, Delphi, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 29,1978, at the Brethren’s Home, Flora. She had been in failing health five years. Born July 29,1891, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of William and Lula Hardy Quinn. She was married Nov. 18,1911, in Rockfield to Turpie E. Martin, who survives. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving with the husband are three sons, Hiram Martin of Lafayette, William R. Martin of Rt. 3, Delphi, and James E. Martin of the Delphi Nursing Home; four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Smith of Burlington, Wise., Mrs. Charles (Mary) Wynn of Vacaville, Calif., Mrs. Charles (Helen) Yeager of Rt. 1, Camden, and Mrs. John (Jean) Buschmann of New Canton, VA., one sister, Kathryn Horn of Rt. 3, Delphi; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan Funeral Home, Camden, with Duane Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Brown Church Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today, Wednesday.
