Maud Davidson (Carr) - Class Of 1913

Mrs. Maude Davidson Carr, 79, of Rt. 2, Delphi died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lakeview Nursing Home at Carmel where she had been a patient eight years. Born Feb. 22, 1896, near Delphi, she was the daughter of Clark and Mary Ann Ellis Davidson. She was graduated from Delphi High School and attended Purdue University. Mrs. Carr served two te rm s as deputy auditor in Carroll County under her father and brother, Robert Davidson. She also served two terms as deputy auditor in Cass County. She is a former Carroll County Republican vice chairman. She also served as Tippecanoe Twp. Trustee and served on the Carroll County Welfare Board several years. She was a member of the Delphi Presbyterian Church. Her marriage in 1930 was to Judge Benjamin F. Carr, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Clark Carr of Michigan, and Ed Carr of Rt. 2, Delphi; a daughter, Mrs. George (Olive Ann) Burrell of Carmel, and two grandchildren. A brother, Robert Davidson, preceded her in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lloyd Funeral Home with the Rev. Toby Rendleman officiating. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Thursday.
