Miss Gertrude Honan, 78, of 422 N. Indiana St, Delphi, died at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Manor Nursing Home in Monticello, where she had been a patient one year. Born May 7, 1889, in Madison Township of Carroll County, she was the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Conway Honan. She was a graduate of the Delphi High School and the Muncie Normal School. She taught school in Carroll County and at Gary. She had lived in Delphi since 1942. Miss Honan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rosary Society of the church and the Third Order of Saint Francis. Survivors include two brothers Burton Honan of Ockley and Harold of Rt. 2, Flora. Two sisters and a brother preceded, her in death.
