Ruth Timmons - Class Of 1913

Mrs. Ruth Timmons Clarkson,, 59, of Rock Creek township, died Saturday afternoon in St. Elizabeth hospital. Mrs. Clarkson suffered a stroke Saturday morning and was rushed to the hospital. She never rallied. Born in Rock Creek township, April 1, 1896, she was the daughter of William F. and Cora (Lantz) Timmons. Her marriage in 1943 was to Stanley Clarkson, who survives. Mrs. Clarkson was well known in this locality for her garden and farm produce which she and her sisters raised on the Timmons farm. Surviving with the husband are a brother, Don of route 2, Delphi; three sisters, Edith Timmons of Logansport, Ruby Timmons of route 2 and Florence Koontz of route 3, Delphi. A brother and two sisters preceded in death. Funeral rites were held Tuesday afternoon from the Lockport Conservative church of which she was a member, with burial in the Rockfield IOOF cemetery. Eikenberry funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
