Lewis Funkhouser - Class Of 1914

Lewis H. Funkhouser, 84, Rt. 3, Delphi, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1980, at 2:15 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette following severe burns from an accident at his home.
  Born Oct. 20, 1896, in Carroll County, his parents were William and Emma Jones Funkhouser.  His first marriage was to Lenora Gingrich who died in 1934.  His second marriage was in 1958 to Rova Fisher, who survives.
  He was a member of the Rockfield Presbyterian Church, Odd Fellows Lodge at Rockfield, 63-year member of Delphi Masonic Lodge, a member of the board of directors of the Carroll County Historical Society, and a past member of the Carroll County Council.  He had served as a Democratic precinct committeeman in Carroll County and was founding member and past director of the Carroll County R.E.M.C.
  Services were Saturday at Jackson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Rev. James Riemenscheider officiating.  Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Rockfield.
