Mabel Robinson (Cole) - Class Of 1914

  Mable Cole, 84, died Saturday, April 7, 1979, at the Delphi Nursing Home, where, she had been a resident four years.
  Born Aug. 29, 1894, she was the daughter of William Henry and Harriet Trobaugh Robinson  She was married on Oct. 22, 1919, in Delphi, to Clarence Cole, who died in 1973.
  Her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Robinson, were pioneer settlers in Carroll County, coming from Ohio in 1824.
  Mrs. Cole was a 1914 graduate of Delphi High School, attended Lafayette Business College and was a ember of the Delphi United Methodist Church.  She was employed by the Delphi Greenhouse in 1944 and worked there 10 years.  She had also been employed at the Welcome Inn, Delphi, for several years.
  Surviving are one daughter, Betty King, of Rt. 1, Battleground, and one sister, Jessie Ashba, a resident of the Lebanon Nursing Home.
  She was preceded in death by five sisters and one infant brother.
  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, at Jackson Funeral Home, Delphi, with the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating.  Burial was in the Delphi Masonic Cemetery.
