Sadie Imler (Phillips) - Class Of 1915

Sadie Phillips, 75, of Rt. 5, Monticello, died Wednesday at 7 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born August 1, 1896, she was the daughter of Jasper and Sarah Snyder Imler. Her marriage was Feb. 14, 1916, to Charles J. Phillips, former Carroll County Commissioner, who survives. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Yeoman and a member of the Yeoman Social Hour Club. Survivors besides the husband include five children; two sons, Ivan Phillips of Anderson and Ray Phillips of Pompano Beach, Florida; three daughters, Mrs. James Page of Battle Ground, Mrs. Charles Ziesenhenne of Jefferson and Mrs. Paul Vansickle of Hammond; one sister, Mrs. William Coopman of Pittsburg; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Yater officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Yeoman Cemetery.
