Funeral services were Friday at the Logansport Church of the Brethren for Mrs. Maude Fern Oaks 75, of Logansport who died Tuesday of last week in St. Joseph Hospital Burial was in Ever-Memorial Park Cemetery. Born in 1897 at Owasco, she was the daughter of Aaron and Christean Ritchey. She retired from H. W. Gossan Co. in 1962 and was a member of the Logansport Church of the Brethren. Her marriage was August 1919 to John P. Oaks. Surviving with the husband are three daughters; six sons; three sisters. Miss Della Ritchey, North Manchester; Mrs. Vella Abbott, Noblesville; and Mrs. Mary Loper of Rossville; two brothers, the Rev. Dolar Ritchey of North Manchester and Dr. J. O. Ritchey of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
