Lora Edna Wise, 82, of Rt. 1, Delphi died at the Delphi Nursing Home at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 1980. She had been a resident of the Home since Jan. She was born May 18, 1897, in Jefferson Township, the daughter of William M. and Olive D. Gilliam Goslee. She was married July 12, 1916, in Jefferson Township to Charles A. Wise, who died Sept. 25, 1974. She was a charter member of the Hickory Grove United Church of Christ and a charter member of the Jefferson Township EH Club. Surviving are one son, Robert of Rt. 1, Delphi; one sister, Susie Landes of Flora; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One daughter, Bernice Alberts, and one brother, Harry Goslee, preceded her in death. Funeral services were at the Thompson Funeral Home in Delphi with the Rev. Herman Fisher officiating. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
