Ariel Huntsinger - Class Of 1916

Ariel Huntsinger, former Delphi resident who was among the first Scoutmasters the community ever had. died at his home at 41 East 56th street, in Indianapolis, on Wednesday of last week. (6-5-1963) He was Central Indiana regional salesmanager for Stokely-Van Camp, Inc., where he had been employed several years. His father, Allen Huntsinger, operated an insurance agency here for several years and Mr. Huntsinger retained his Carroll county interests by ownership of a farm southeast of Delphi, tenanted by Carl Jester, and a Lake Freeman home. He began his career as a retail salesman in 1924 with the old Van Camp Packing Co. Born in Rockfield, he was 65 years of age, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Delphi. He was a graduate of DePauw University. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Lucille Dunbar Huntsinger. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Broad Ripple mortuary of Flanner & Buchanan. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
