Georgia Loy (Quinn) - Class Of 1916

  Georgia B. Quinn, 89, of Delphi, died at 3:40 p.m. Sept. 7, 1988, at Home Hospital.  She had been in declining health the past year.
  Born Nov. 12, 1898, in Ockley, she was the daughter of George C. and Bertha E. Wagoner Loy.  Her marriage was on Dec. 18, 1918, in Carroll County, to Troy C. Quinn, who died in 1936.
  She was a graduate of Delphi High School and Winona Lake College.  Before her marriage, she was a teacher in one-room schools in Carroll County.
  She was a partner, bookkeeper, and manager of Loy Roofing in Delphi for many years.
  She was a 50-year member of Carroll Chapter, O.E.S.; a charter member and first president of the Delphi Art Club; and a member of Delphi Business Women's Association and Carroll County Historical Society.  She also was a member of the Delphi First Presbyterian Church.
  She had exhibited her paintings and other artwork at many art shows in the county.
  Surviving are three sons, Robert Quinn of Delphi, Gerald Quinn of Springfield, Ohio, and Richard Quinn of Morton, Ill.; one sister, Lujean Taylor of Lafayette; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
  Services were Saturday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating.  Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
  Memorials contributions can be made to the first Presbyterian Church, Delphi.
