Harry Roach - Class Of 1916

Harry Roach, 80, of Delphi, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, April 7, 1978, at Home Hospital, Lafayette.  He had been a patient there several weeks.
  Born Oct. 18, 1897, in Delphi, he was the son of William A. and LaVina Shock Roach.  He wss married April 3, 1917, in Delphi, to Minnie Snoeberger, who survives.
  Roach was a Delphi City Councilman for nine years and owned a bakery at Delphi for 18 years.  He was employed with Alcoa in Lafayette for 21 years, retiring in 1962.
  He was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church, the Delphi Masonic Lodge and the Royal Arch Masons.
  Surviving with the wife are a son, George William Roach of West Lafayette; a daughter, Marjorie Clayton of Bloomington; a sister Grace Gratham of Frankfort; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
  Services were Monday at the Delphi United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating.  Burial was in the Delphi Masonic Cemetery.  Jackson Funeral Home , Delphi, was in charge of arrangements.
