Arlie Julien - Class Of 1916

  Dr. Arlie P. Julien, 67, died Tuesday in a hospital in Asheville, N. C. after a short illness.

  Dr. and Mrs. Julien moved to Asheville in 1962 from Skaneateles, N. Y. after his retirement that year as research chemist for the Solvay Process Division of Allied Chemical Corp., where he had been employed since 1924.

  Dr. Julien, a graduate of Delphi High School, class of 1916, was a native of Indiana.  He received his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin in 1924.

  He was a member of the American Chemical Society and attended Central Methodist Church in Asheville.

  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Wava Doty Julien; two sons, Paul of Lewiston, N. Y. and Douglas Julien of Waukegan, Ill.; a brother, Clyde Julien of Monticello, Ind., and four grandchildren.
