Faye Snyder (Coble) - Class Of 1916

Services for Fay S. Coble, 86, of Rt. 3, Delphi, were Saturday at the Rockfield Christian Church with the Rev. David Soucie officiating.  Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Rockfield.
  She died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 1984, in Lafayette Health Care Center, where she had resided four days.
  Born No. 9, 1897, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Cary and Theodosia Swaim Snyder.  Her marriage was Aug. 29, 1918, in Carroll County, to John K. Coble, who died in 1963.
  A 1916 graduate of Delphi High School, she taught school at Burrows for one year.  Mrs. Coble had worked at the Sangralea Valley Boys Home in Cass County for several years.
  She was a member of the Rockfield Christian Church.
  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Gwen) Kahler of Rt. 3, Delphi and Patricia Pittenger of Swartz Creek, Mich.; one son, John R. Coble of Rt. 2, Delphi; one brother, Ear Snyder of Burnettsville; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
  One son, three sisters, one brother, one granddaughter and one great-grandson preceded her in death.
  Horn Funeral Home, Delphi, was in charge of arrangements.
