Benjamin Jackson - Class Of 1904

B. B. Jackson, Delphi Business DELPHI, Ind., May 31, 1950 Benjamin Butler Jackson, 66, well known Delphi businessman and former manufacturer, died at 6 o'- clock Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth hospital at Lafayette where he had been a patient after suffering a heart attack recently. The son of James and Ida (McCain)Jackson, Carroll county natives, he was born April 7,1884 in Kingman county, Kansas. In October, 1912, he was married to the former Addie Neff. The couple spent most of their married life in Delphi. A graduate of Purdue University, School of Electrical Engineering, he was a partner of Fred Morrison in the Studebaker Sales company at Delphi. He was a member of the masonic lodge, Rotary and Archery clubs, and past president of the Carroll County Old Settlers Association. Surviving are: the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Milner of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Harry Schutt of Indianapolis: a grandchild, one brother, Charles Bryan Jackson of Logansport; two sisters, Mrs, Levi Jackson of Logansport and Mrs. Walter Neff of route 4, Delphi. The body was taken to the Jackson funeral home at Delphi where friends may call after Thursday noon. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Jackson funeral home. The Rev. O. P. Manker of Winamac former pastor of the Delphi Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
