Julia Gregg (Foreman) - Class Of 1904

When the word came to this city Wednesday morning that at 11:45 Tuesday evening, Julia Gregg Foreman had passed away at her home in Baker City, Ore., it seemed almost beyond belief. Julia was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Gregg, of this city. She was born in Delphi June 26, 1885. In the class of 1904 she graduated from the high school and later graduated from Mrs. Bakers school for kindergarten teachers in Indianapolis. She was a beautiful young woman, who by her very graciousness and winsomeness showed that she loved life and people. She was known as a most capable young woman for it seemed that there was nothing that Julia could not do well who knew her were her friends for the was always the same to young and old alike. While teaching in Baker City Ore., she met Harry W. Foreman, one of the prominent business men of that city. They were married Aug 10, 1910, and their life together was ideal. To them one son, Paul, was born. Mrs. Foreman visited home folk twice during her married life. Last fall she was in Delphi but was sick most of the time with a heavy cold. She never really rallied from this and though during these last few days her people knew that hope for her recovery had been abandoned, the news of her pasting came as a great shock. Besides her husband and her son, she leaves her parents; two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Kerlin, of this city and Miss Sallie, who was with her at the time of her death, and two brothers, Charles, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Paul, of Menominee, Wis. The funeral was held in Baker City Friday afternoon and interment made in that city. This was in accordance with Mrs. Foreman’s request.
