Luther Grantham - Class Of 1902

Luther Grantham, 77, a retired and well known farmer residing on route" 2, Delphi, died Saturday morning at his home. Mr. Grantham had been in ill health for two years. Born November 29, 1884, his parents were Lewis and Elizabeth Million Grantham. A member of a pioneer family of Carroll county, he resided all of his lifetime on the Grantham farms overlooking the Wabash river, north east of Delphi. His great grandfather, John Grantham a native of Virginia, was one of the early probate judges of Carroll county. Mr Grantham was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Delphi and was an accomplished musician. He was also a lifetime Democrat having served in many capacities in the party. His marriage on September 28, 1914, was to Grace Roach. Surviving with the widow is a brother, Wilbur Grantham, route 2, Delphi. Rites were conducted at the Jackson funeral home Tuesday with Rev. James Wm. Rankin officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
