Funeral services for George W. Deel of 1706 Reserve St., Muncie, were Friday afternoon at the Parsons Mortuary in Muncie with the Rev. Virginia Falls officiating.
  Interment was in Rockfield IOOF Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
  He died Wednesday of last week in Ball Memorial Hospital at Muncie after an illness of several weeks.
  Born in Carroll County, he was the son of George W. and Elizabeth Jane Harmison Deel.  He has lived at Muncie since moving there from Ft. Wayne in 1948.  He was graduated from Delphi School and Purdue University, in 1910.  A retired electrical engineer, he was a member of Mt. Zion F. & AM No. 211 at Camden and Scottish Rite Valley of Ft. Wayne.
  Surviving with the widow, Florence, is a nephew, L.J. Deel of Rockfield.
