Florence Thompson (Hoshaw) - Class Of 1906

  Mrs. Florence (Flossie) Hoshaw, 81, of 308 N. Washington St., Delphi, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday at the Fix Community Home, Delphi, where she had been a patient since February of 1967.  She had lived at Delphi her entire life.  She worked at the Western Union Office, Delphi, before retiring in 1962.  She was a member of the Delphi American Legion Auxiliary.
  Born Sept. 17, 1887, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Sidenbender Thompson.  Her marriage in Delphi in November of 1929 was to Harve Hoshaw, who died in January of 1957.
  Survivors include a step-son, William Hoshaw of Trenton, Mich.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Georgia Vardeman of Torrance, Calif.; one brother, John Thompson of Rt. 2, Delphi; several nieces and nephews.  Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
  Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sullivan-Lloyd Funeral Home.  Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery with Rev. Estel O. Eckart officiating.
