Mrs. Marie Myer, 76, of route three, Lafayette, died Saturday noon in the Fix Community Home in Delphi where she had been a patient for six months. She was born June 3, 1887 in Delphi, the daughter of John C. and Zelpha Stranahan Frisbee. Her marriage to R. E. Myer of Flora was on November 2, 1952 in Frankfort and he died May 17, 1961. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Tippecanoe and Carroll County schools. She was a member of Delphi Presbyterian Church, the Delphi Woman’s Club, Colburn Home Demonstration Club, the Tippecanoe County Farm Bureau, a charter member of Charles Carroll Chapter of DAR and a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star No. 36. Final rites were held Tuesday afternoon at the Jackson Funeral Home in Delphi with the Reverend James W. Rankin officiating. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery.
