Josephine Blanchard, 87, of Rt. 2, Delphi, died at 7:45 p.m. May 12, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient two and one-half weeks. Born Nov. 1, 1888, near Delphi, she was the daughter of Harrie Pigman and Lou Speece Blanchard. She was a registered nurse and a veteran of WWI. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Delphi and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home (formerly Lloyd’s-Funeral Home) at 10:30 a,m. with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Delphi, with military graveside services. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
