Agnes Robinson (McCouch)

DELPHI--Mrs. John R. McCouch, 73, of 324 N. Union St., died at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Leslie Nursing Home in Buck Creek following an illness of one year. Born Agnes Robinson in Carroll county on Aug. 28, 1887, she was the daughter of William H. and Emma (Trobaugh) Robinson. Her marriage in April, 1911 was to John R. McCouch and he survives. Mrs. McCouch, was a direct descendant from Henry Robinson, the first settler in Carroll county. She graduated from Delphi high school in 1907 and was a member of the Radnor Methodist church, the Tipwa Grange and the Madison township Home Demonstration Club. Surviving besides the husband are one son, Dennis Eugene, of Anderson; two daughters, Miss Lucille McCouch, at home and Mrs. Doretha Buck, or rural route 3, Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. Kate Weil, Mrs. Stella Givler and Mrs. Mabel Cole, all of Delphi and Mrs. Jess Ashba, of Lebanon and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (DST) Thursday at the Jackson funeral home in Delphi with the Rev. O. P. Manker officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery.
