Hazel McCain (Coble)

Mrs. Hazel McCain Coble, 100, of Route 1, Delphi, departed this life at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. November 11, 1989, in her residence. Born March 28,1889, in Deer Creek township of Carroll county, she was the daughter of Albert Dean McCain and Abasha Day Robbins. On March 31 1917, she was married in Delphi to Roy E. Coble, and he preceded her in passing in 1949. A 1907 graduate of Delphi High School, Mrs. Coble was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hickory Grove United Church of Christ, the Adams Township Home Economics Club, and the Carroll County Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are two daughters. Mrs. Cloyd (Ruth) Crawn of Route 1, Delphi, and Miss Mary E. Coble at home; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded In passing by one daughter. Services for Mrs. Hazel McCain Coble were held on Tuesday, November 14, 1989, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hickory Grove United Church of Christ, the Rev. Charles Hirschy officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Horn Funeral Home, Delphi, was in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials to the Carroll County Council on Aging.
