Mrs. Louise Fountain, 81, of Rt. 1, Delphi, died Wednesday of last week at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, after an illness of two weeks. Born in Carroll County Jan. 23, 1890, she was the daughter of John and Amanda Hammil Carithers. Her marriage in 1922 was to Edgar Fountain who died in 1967. A resident of Carroll County all of her life, she was a member of the Delphi Presbyterian Church, Tippecanoe Extension Homemakers Club and Tipwa Grange. Survivors are a son, Edgar Jr., Rt. 1, Delphi; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Miller, Brookston; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Ginn, Rochester; and nine grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death. Rites were Saturday at Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Frederick Lanan officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Run Cemetery, north of Delphi.
