Florence Roach (Dobbins) - Class Of 1909

Mrs. Florence Roach Dobbins, aged 36, passed away suddenly at the Methodist hospital, Indianapolis, Fri- day afternoon at 2:45 o’clock, and the news of her death was a great shock to her friends. Mrs. Dobbins had been operated on for appendicitis but had recovered so rapidly that arrangements were being made to bring her home Sunday. Her husband and youngest daughter, and Mr. Dobbin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Dobbins, were at her bedside, and they had been planning for her return home, when suddenly she complained of being sick. She died ten minutes later. Her husband, Walter Dobbins, and two daughters, Mary Frances and Ruth, her mother, Mrs. William Roach, and many relatives survive. Mrs. Dobbins was a graduate of the Delphi high school, class of 1909, and a member of the Methodist church. She was a devoted wife and mother. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Dobbins family residence, Rev. R. B. Kern officiating.
