Francis Wilson - Class Of 1890

Funeral rites were held Sunday at the Grimm and Son funeral home for Francis Wilson, 68, well known Delphi resident, who died early Friday morning after a month’s illness. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery. Mr. Wilson was known widely as a mechanical expert and electrician, operating for many years a repair shop near his home on East Monroe street. Prior to that he was employed by several manufacturing companies as a highly skilled worker. During recent years he was employed by the county commissioners to care for electrical and heating equipment in the court house. Mr. Wilson was highly respected both as a mechanical genius and as a citizen of the community. Surviving are the Widow, Mrs. Mary McDonald Wilson and eight children, Mrs. Kathryn Sears and Marjorie Wilson, both of New York City; Esther Wilson, Chicago; Mrs. Ruth Hufford, Lafayette; Donald Wilson, Peoria, Ill.; Harry Wilson, Chicago; and Robert and Betty, both at home.
