DELPHI-Mrs. Josephine Ives, 88, died at 6:30 p. m. Saturday at Wesley Manor at
Frankfort.   She was born in Delphi March 25, 1875, the daughter of John A.
and Susannah Hielt Carrwright.  She married George R. Ives Sept. 26, 1900.  He               preceded her in death.

She was a housemother at Tudor Hall a Girls school in Indianapolis before returning to Delphi
a number of years ago.  She was a member of Delphi Methodist Church and Delphi Women's
Club and was a graduate of DePauw University.

Her husband was a member of the firm of J. T. Ives and Sons, which operated the New York
Store a department store in Delphi.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert A. Dole of Cambridge, Mass., and two sons, attorney
Joseph T. Ives of Delphi and Maj. Gen. John Hiett Ives of San Antonio, Tex.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday
at Jackson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
