Luella Kashner (Dickison) - Class Of 1893

Margaret Luella Kashner Dickison Mrs. James B. Dickison, wife of Delphi’s well known grocery man, died at her home in South Delphi last Satrurday morning at 9:30 o’clock following an illness of about a year with complications of diseases. Mrs. Dickison was born on March 3, 1876, and was in her fifty-third year. On February 16, 1898 she was married to Mr. Dickison and for several years they lived near Pyrmont, moving to Delphi five years ago when Mr. Dickison entered the grocery Business. Besides the husband the deceased is survived by, one daughter, Mrs. Leora Buck, living south, of the city, and two sons, Paul and John, at home. Mrs. Dickison was a member of the United Brethren church, was an unassuming woman and was happiest when doing for her family; she cared little for public or social activities, preferring her household to all other work and to looking after the comfort of her children. While she suffered considerable during her long, illness she did not complain and was happy in the company of friends of whom she had many. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. A. Groves, a friend of the family, assisted by Rev. O.P. Manker; burial in the Masonic cemetery.
