Passes Away
DELPHI, Ind. — Mrs. Georgie
Kerlin, 79, well known Delphi resident,
died at the Home hospital In
Lafayette at 3 p.m. Thursday, five
hours after she was admitted.
She had been in ill health several
months.
She was born March 5, 1875, in
Tippecanoe township, to George
Milton and Lucy (Bulger) Gregg,
and was married to Cloyd M. Kerlin,
who died in 1941.
Her husband was the operator
of the Kerlin Grain Elevator com-
pany. She was a member of the
Presbyterian church and the Easter
Star, and she was a patroness
of the Psa Iota Xi sorority.
She leaves four sons, State
Representative Mahlon Kerlin,
William S. and Charles, all of here,
and Hiram of Lafayette; a daughter,
Mrs. Kathleen Curry of Window,
Ariz.; ten grandchildren; a great
grandchild and two brothers, Paul
Gregg of Meaominee, Wis., and
Charles of New Milford, Ohio.
Friends may call after 2 p.m.
today at the Jackson mortuary,
where last rites will be held at 2
p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Harry
Parker and the Rev. James Ranirin
will officiate and interment
will be made in the Masonic cemetery.
