Dr. Christian Burkholder died at his home in Jacksonville, Ill., Saturday very suddenly from an operation for appendicitis. He was 35 years of age and a well known young man of this city and county where he formerly resided. Besides his wife he leaves a mother, Mrs. Susan Burkholder, who resides in this city; three brothers— Commissioner Burkholder and Charles, who live west of the city, and John, of Muncie, and a large number of friends who mourn his death. His remains were taken to Moberly, Missouri, for interment Tuesday. His mother and brothers attended the funeral.
