Mrs. Mable Jakes Crowl of Gary, died at 8 o’clock Sunday night at her home following a stroke. A native of Carroll county, Mrs. Crowl taught school in the Delphi grade school for over 30 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, Eastern Star and Welcome Inn Grange. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews of Logansport and Gary. Mrs. Crowl’s husband died 14 years ago. Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Delphi Presbyterian church with Rev. Miles A. Freeman officiating. Burial was made in the Masonic cemetery. Grimm and Sons were in charge.
