Mrs. Alice Kennard Cheadle, 82, of Frankfort, formerly of Delphi, died at 5:20 a. m. Saturday, August 22, in Clinton county hospital. The daughter of Isaac Roll and Lillie Alexander Kennard, Mrs. Cheadle was born December 21, 1876. She was married Sept. 4, 1901 to Ralph T. Cheadle, Frankfort mayor from 1952 to 1956, who died in 1957. Surviving are a son, J. Kennard Cheadle of Spokane, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar F. Stuntz, of Delphi, and Mrs. Dolsen Carrigan of Crawfordsville, and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday from the Goodwin funeral home in Frankfort with burial in the Rossville cemetery.
