Local friends have received word of the death of Miss Carrie Collins, 82, who died last Tuesday night in Oxford, Ohio. Miss Collins had fallen earlier in the day and suffered a broken hip. Born in Delphi, her parents were William and Sarah Seldomridge Collins. Her father was an insurance agent in Delphi and the family resided in what is now the Curtis McCain property on Franklin Street. She taught school here for a number of years and was a practical nurse. Immediate survivors are a niece Alice Whitcomb with whom she made her home in Oxford and a nephew, Morris Collins of Cartersville, Georgia. Funeral rites and burial were conducted Saturday in Oxford.
