Clarence Bickell - Class Of 1897

Clarence Thomas Bickell, son of Joshua N. and Alice A. Bickell, died at 3:15 Saturday morning, February 19, in the Washington Boulevard Hospital, Chicago, where he had been confined for the last two months. Mr. Bickell was born on a farm in Deer Creek township, Carroll county, about four miles southwest of Delphi, October 28, 1877. A graduate of the Delphi high school, he was married on August 31, 1918 to E. Blanche Lochenour, who survives. He was formerly employed by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific railroad. Surviving besides the widow are two foster children, Margaret Reedy Philbrick of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Ervin Reedy of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Klute of South Bend and Mrs. Margaret Cantrell, San Jose, California. He was affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 3 of Chicago, and the Chicago Lawn Lodge, No. 815 A. F. and A. M. Funeral services were held by the Moose Lodge at the Berg Chapel, 41 North Leavitt street in Chicago and services were held at Forest Home in Forest Park by the Masonic Lodge on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
