Miss Bess Rothenberger, 86, 409 E. Monroe, Delphi, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Fix Nursing Home in Flora after a lingering illness. Born April 7, 1880 in Clinton County, she was the daughter of Levi Rothenberger and Geneva Carter. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Rothenberger Elevator in Delphi and as a librarian at the Delphi Library. She was a member of the Delphi Methodist Church and had spent most of her life in the community. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Mamie Sharp of Delphi, and two nieces of Indianapolis. Final rites will be held today, (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Cornell Funeral Home with Rev. O. P. Manker and Rev. David Abel officiating. Burial will be in the Farmer’s Chapel Cemetery near Frankfort.
