Nellie Colvin (Pearson) - Class Of 1902

Mrs. Nellie Colvin Pearson 78, a former well known resident of Delphi died Saturday morning at a Dayton, Ohio, hospital. Born in Delphi in 1883, her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Colvin. She was married in 1917 to Clay Pearson, who died in 1960. Mr. Pearson was a former county clerk, and for a number of years he and his wife operated the People's Building and Loan Association. He also served as mayor of Delphi. Mrs. Pearson was a graduate of Delphi High School in 1902. She was a charter member of the Country Club, the Junto Club and a member of the Eastern Star of the Episcopal church. Surviving is a daughter, Carolyn Hitchcock of Dayton. The body was returned to the Eikenberry chapel where rites were held Wednesday morning with burial in the Masonic cemetery.
