Mrs. Mabel Dawson Sandifur, 82, died at 10 a.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Clem, route 1, Bringhurst. She had been seriously ill for a month. Born in Carroll County on March 26, 1883, she was the daughter of James and Emily Shaffer Dawson. Her marriage was to Charles Sandifur, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Dayton Presbyterian Church. Survivors are the daughter, Mrs. Clem; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Miss Ruth Dawson and Mrs. Maude Travis, both of Frankfort. A son, James, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Trobaugh, preceded her in death. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Carter Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Kastner officiated and burial was in Ball Hill Cemetery.
