Services for Mary E. Scott Allen, 88, formerly of Flora, were Saturday at Carter-Baker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Wickizer officiating. Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Allen died Wednesday of last week in the Country Village Nursing Home, Wabash. She had been in failing health for a year. Born Dec. 9, 1885, she was the daughter of Thomas and Ella Scott. She was married June 25, 1925, to Ross E. Allen, who died April 24, 1973. She was a member of the Flora Christian Church. Survivors include one son, William S. Allen of Wabash, editor of the Wabash Plain-Dealer, and two grandchildren.
