Edwin Ryan - Class Of 1878

Edward Ryan, an exemplary young man, died at his residence near Pittsburg, on Friday last. He was a victim of consumption and bad that lingering and distressing disease for some months. He was not considered dangerously sick, however, and even on the day of his death he was up and around the house. Ed was a promising young man of about twenty-flve years of age and was a great favorite with all. He was a member of the Catholic church from which place his funeral services were held on Monday. A large concourse of mourning friends attended the last sad rites and be was laid to rest in the city cemetery. Sad indeed is it for one in the very prime of life to be taken away and many are the friends and relatives who mourn his untimely departure.
